42 Abu Dhabi is a project being developed by the Department of Education and Knowledge. The facility is a unique, nonprofit and tuition free computer coding school employing a project-based curriculum where students rely on peer learning.
Situated in the heart of the former Mina Industrial Zone, the project involves the refurbishment of three former warehouse buildings. The school will be open 24/7 with a capacity of 250 students. Peer-pedagogy is at the center of the design for the new campus, where learning spaces are clustered around a central courtyard and plenty of casual meeting spaces that stimulate creative interactions between the students This project is part of the Ghadan 21 programme initiative by the Government of Abu Dhabi.
Al Tayer stocks have been commissioned to Design, procure and build this state of the art facility. The scope includes construction of new building structure starting from foundations and super structure. The super structure comprises of steel frames cladded with curtain walls and sandwich panels and a standing seam roof. Part of the building is designed to have a courtyard which is shaded by a canopy structure. MEP scope covers design, procurement and installation of new equipment in line with the Estidama requirements.
