Hotel operator Atlantis Resorts & Residences has announced that it has embarked on its $100m extensive refurbishment programme across its flagship resort, Atlantis, The Palm.
The project, which was announced early last year, commenced on 4 July, 2017 and will involve a complete three-year refurbishment programme for all rooms, suites, bars and restaurants across the hotel, the hotel operator said in a statement.
The programme will also include the refurbishment of the resorts 1,539 rooms and suites, with 50 rooms and suites refurbished every six weeks, to ensure that guest experience will not be impacted.
The interior design contract for the guestrooms was awarded to UAE based interior design studio WA International, whose design will be built by fitout specialists.
Al Tayer Stocks have been awarded the strip out and refurbishment of the 1,532 guest rooms, suites and corridors.
All day dining restaurant Kaleidoscope is also currently under renovation and will see a new dynamic introduced when it re-opens in September 2017.
Further projects planned are the re-design of Ayamna Bar, Nasimi Beach and The Imperial Club.
The room renovation project comes ahead of the launch of Atlantis’ second Dubai property, the $1.4bn Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences, which is set to change the landscape of Dubai when it launches in late 2019.
