ATS – USING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN CONSTRUCTION BRINGING THE REAL WORLD INTO THE VIRTUAL WORLD FOR ALL
We at ATS are continuously striving for innovative solutions to challenges we may face in construction, day to day. Three years ago we discovered something new, exciting and what we felt would become extremely beneficial for our clients, consultants and our teams internally.
We came across a father and son business (namely 361), who had been operating in the UAE for 2 years and were looking to bring their technology into the construction world.
Their technology included 3D photo-realistic walkthrough models of particular space.
We quickly realized the benefits that this technology could have to our business,
- Transparency to all parties through remote access
- Efficient dilapidation reporting
- Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Following a few months of consistent scanning on our various live projects and the positive feedback we received both internally and externally, we decided to acquire the business technology and as a result James Mcdonald (son) joined our ATS team.
3D scanning has become a huge part of our projects progress. We currently scan each of our live projects on a weekly or biweekly basis, enabling our Project Managers to utilize the scans in their progress meetings.
As the project draws towards successful completion, the 3D scan enables our clients and professional teams to have a photorealistic walkthrough of their space (accessed remotely from any device) giving them an emotional connection to the space before moving in.
The finalized 3D model provides a simple and intuitive platform for recording all types of asset information, including service manuals, main asset information, tutorials, and service logs. The 3D scan offers the ideal tool for acquiring and never losing critical ongoing operational information for Operating & Maintenance Manuals to any FM data and files.
